Our version of the classic Kentucky cocktail uses Casey’s Cut Moonshine to give this julep some real juice.


2 oz Casey Jones Casey’s Cut Moonshine
1 oz mint syrup (see recipe below) 
Crushed ice
Fresh mint for garnish


Instructions: Prepare julep cup by filling halfway with crushed ice and placing mint sprig against the side before filling to the top with ice. Combine Casey’s Cut Moonshine and mint syrup. Pour over ice in prepared julep cup. Makes 1 serving.

Mint Syrup Recipe:
1 cup each: water, sugar and fresh mint (Two .66 oz packages of fresh mint). Add to a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir occasionally until it comes to a boil. Cover and remove from heat. Let stand for 10 minutes before straining.
